Lou Gaëlou

Paul took over a domain in 1920 on the right bank of the Rhone at the foot of the mountain of St Geniès, then expanded on the other side of the Rhone under the ruins of the papal castle, under a Mediterranean climate.

A few years later, he met Michel Mourier, a farmer from the northern Rhône Valley. This successful collaboration has been ongoing for four generations. Our vines, aged 30 to 50 years, are grown with the greatest respect for the environment, mainly on limestone soils dotted with rolled pebbles.

Today, the Domaine Lou Gaëlou offers wines with appellations Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac and Côtes-du-Rhône.

We welcome you to the Xavier Mourier Estate Cellar, without an appointment from Monday to Saturday, to discover our work and our products.
