Marsanne, Roussanne

TERROIR AND VINES
First vineyard planted in 1990, at Rochecourbe, on a hillside overlooking the Rhône with 85 rows. Soil predominantly granitic with veins of Loess.

VINIFICATION AND AGEING

A blend of equal part Marsanne and Roussanne, vinified at low temperature in barrels and aged for 10 months on fine lees with stirring.

Le Domaine De Pierre Blanche Les 85 Rangs 2021 white has obtained the 2-star rating, which corresponds to a remarkable wine. The jury awarded it a Coup de Coeur. This wine was graduated in the 2024 edition of the Guide Hachette Vins.

TASTING COMMENTS

Balanced and delicious, it has a beautiful yellow color with green highlights. Aromatic and elegant, with aromas of apricot, hawthorn, green coffee and honeysuckle.

FOOD/WINE PAIRING

Ideal with freshwater fish, white meats, juniper-smoked fish sauerkraut or as an aperitif

CELLARING POTENTIAL

4 to 7 years.
